Joinery & Interiors
On refurbishment / restoration projects joinery is carried out under long established but closely supervised sub contractors. Paul Dixon Ltd works closely with various joinery contractors taking advantage of their different specializations and skills to the best advantage of the project and client. All aspects of Joinery work from architect specification to functional design, material specification and installation is overseen on by Paul.
Traditional materials and methods are used to ensure projects remain in keeping with the building. On Old Farmhouse/ Cottage buildings traditional oak is used for beams and second fix joinery. Oak Westmorland doors and plank and muntin screens have been formed to follow the traditional Lakeland approach. Hard wood sliding sash windows using lead weights are sourced but fitted with double glazing retaining the traditional feel and look of the window whilst delivering modern performance for heat retention and reduced drafts. Factory finishes are offered either in a smooth or traditional brush effect finish.
