Paul Dixon Ltd carries out a wide range of stonework projects including stone facing buildings, retaining walls, garden walls, gate posts, fire places, chimneys and dry stone walling. Stone is sourced to fit the architecture and traditional styles of the buildings. All stone used is cut and dressed on site and sawn edges must never be seen! Once a variety of stone is chosen the stonework design is created by Paul Dixon including all feature stonework such as quoins, window heads, stone arches, wall tops, chimneys etc.
Dry stone walling both for new or renovation of existing walls is also carried out in gardens and for boundaries. Paul utilises traditional styles and features in keeping with the property and surrounding country.
For traditional and listed buildings Paul Dixon Ltd builds in lime mortar to protect the character and functionality of a property – lime mortar allows walls to breathe.
